Devin Hester shares workout video, is not ready to retire

Devin-Hester

Devin Hester was released by the Atlanta Falcons last month and is recovering from offseason toe surgery, but the man many consider to be the best kick returner in NFL history is not yet ready to call it a career.

On Wednesday, Hester shared a video on Instagram showing him planting and making cuts during a drill.

Hester also tweeted the video, telling NFL teams to call his agent and that he will be ready to go in two weeks. This is all part of a full-court press to get teams interested in signing him, as Hester also told TMZ this week that at least 14 NFL teams are “waiting on me.”

Although he is 33, Hester should still be able to find work considering the role he plays. Teams could sign him to a non-guaranteed contract at the veteran’s minimum salary after Week 1, so there would basically be no risk involved. And if Hester can break off even just one of his patented return touchdowns (like this record-breaking one), he’d be worth every penny.
