Dez Bryant agrees to one-year deal with Saints
Dez Bryant has finally found a new place to play, and it is with one of the best offenses in the NFL.
Ian Rapoport and Jane Slater of NFL Network reported on Wednesday that Bryant will sign a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.
Back in the NFL: The #Saints are signing free agent WR Dez Bryant to a 1-year deal, sources tell me and @SlaterNFL. His marathon wait has ended with a landing spot on a playoff team.

The Saints already have an explosive offense, with Drew Brees having an outstanding season at age 39 and Michael Thomas putting up Pro Bowl numbers as his top wide receiver. They also have one of the best play-making running backs in the NFL in Alvin Kamara.
It will be interesting to see how in shape Bryant is, as he has not played in a meaningful NFL game in several months. With a situation like the one in New Orleans, he won’t be expected to carry a huge load or contribute immediately. If he picks up the offense and still has enough left in the tank physically, he could see plenty of one-on-one coverage and have chances to make plays down the stretch.
Bryant negotiated with at least one other NFL team after the start of the season, but nothing ever came of that. He likely thought he would have had more offers by now.
