Diego Pavia is getting his chance at Baltimore Ravens camp this weekend, but the first glimpse fans got of him left them laughing more than anything else.
Video emerged showing the former Vanderbilt quarterback taking snaps during a minicamp drill on Saturday. The only thing most people noticed, however, was how short Pavia looked.

Pavia measured roughly 5’10” at the NFL Combine, and to many on social media, that looked generous.

Concerns about Pavia’s height played a part in him going undrafted. The quarterback tried to brush them off before the draft, but this is not really going to reassure anyone.
Pavia has a full contract with the Ravens, but the circumstances mean this is still fundamentally a tryout. Nobody questions his competitive drive, but this is something of a microcosm of the sort of thing he will have to overcome in order to carve out an NFL career.
