Dolphins in no hurry to give Josh Rosen first-team reps
Miami Dolphins fans are eager to see if Josh Rosen can be the future of their franchise, but head coach Brian Flores isn’t in a hurry to give the quarterback first-team reps.
Rosen has been practicing with the second string throughout training camp as Ryan Fitzpatrick gets to work with the starters. On a conference call Saturday, Flores indicated that was unlikely to change within the next week, as he feels he can properly evaluate Rosen without making any changes.
Brian Flores has had plenty of opportunity during a conference call to say whether Josh Rosen is going to see more first-team work next week. Not going there.

Flores says he can get good evaluation on Rosen even if he's with second-teamers.

In other words, Flores won’t say Rosen won’t get a chance with the starters, but he won’t say he will, either. He’s said positive things about Rosen and his progress, but at least at this point, it hasn’t been enough to dislodge Fitzpatrick.
