Dolphins coach hails ‘across the board’ improvement from Josh Rosen
Josh Rosen is doing quite well in Miami Dolphins camp, at least according to his coach.
Brian Flores said Rosen is doing well in camp thus far and has shown improvement in all departments, specifically citing his pocket presence and footwork.
“I think he’s made some improvement, really across the board,” Flores said, via Jelani Scott of NFL.com. “There’s things that a lot of people don’t see. Better footwork, mechanics in the pocket, decision-making. A lot of times people, all they see is the touchdown pass; they don’t see the checkdown that’s a positive play for the team. I think he’s improved in those areas and I think those are the little things that go a long way at that position.”
It’s nice for Rosen to receive praise, but his coach had previously admitted he had quite a way to go. For that reason, Ryan Fitzpatrick, not Rosen, will almost certainly be Miami’s Week 1 starter, as the Dolphins appear to prefer the veteran right now.
