Dolphins part ways with veteran quarterback
One Miami Dolphins quarterback has been voted off the island.
The Dolphins announced on Friday that they have released veteran QB Tim Boyle. The 30-year-old Boyle had been with the team since joining their practice squad in August.
Boyle would eventually be promoted to the active roster after starter Tua Tagovailoa suffered his latest concussion. The seven-year NFL veteran Boyle even saw game action in Week 3 after second-stringer Skylar Thompson was knocked out with an injury.
But Miami signed former Pro Bowler QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley from Baltimore’s practice squad, and Huntley has since won the starting gig for the time being.
It remains to be seen when exactly Tagovailoa will be able to return (though an update was recently given on that front). But until he can, the Dolphins will be rolling with Huntley as the starter and Thompson as the backup.
