Seahawks’ Doug Baldwin will be ready for Week 1
The Seattle Seahawks will have top wide receiver Doug Baldwin for the regular season opener.
Coach Pete Carroll reaffirmed Monday that Baldwin still isn’t fully up to speed in practice, but is on pace to play in the season opener against the Denver Broncos.
Carroll says Doug Baldwin doing more in practice this week. Won't play Thursday but will be ready for week one.

Baldwin has had a sore knee since camp started and hasn’t featured in any of the team’s preseason contests. Given how thin the team’s receiving corps is, they’ll need him, and it sounds like he’s on track.
The Seahawks have other injury issues they’re racing against the clock to try to clear up, but they’ve been pretty steadfast about Baldwin’s status. He looks like he’ll be good to go.
