It’s safe to say the Jacksonville Jaguars are not where they want to be.
The Jaguars sit at 3-3 and are fresh off a game in which their vaunted defense gave up 40 points to the Dallas Cowboys, and coach Doug Marrone is so concerned that he’s talking about getting back to fundamentals and outright calling the team’s recent play bad.
“We have to do a lot of things better,” Marrone said, via Michael DiRocco of ESPN. “I’m more focused on what we have to get done in practice and do those things before we can even go the next step and get out there on the field Sunday.
“We have a lot of time between now and Sunday to correct a lot of bad football that we have been playing.”
We’re a long way from Marrone going for two late and arguably running up the score a few weeks ago. Once a Super Bowl contender, the Jaguars really have to pick things up soon.
