Eagles, Stephen Tulloch reportedly in heavy negotiations

The Philadelphia Eagles may be close to shoring up their linebacker unit.
According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN on Sunday, the Eagles are in heavy negotiations with ex-Detroit Lion Stephen Tulloch.
Eagles and former Lions' LB Stephen Tulloch now in "heavy negotiations", per source. Eagles could soon have a new linebacker.

Tulloch, 31, recorded 107 combined tackles for the Lions in 2015. He probably is no longer an every-down linebacker at this stage of his career but would represent serviceable depth in the middle of the field behind Mychael Kendricks, Jordan Hicks, and Nigel Bradham.
Though Tulloch is probably best known for one of the most embarrassing and unfortunate celebration injuries of all-time, he could still be useful as a situational tackle magnet for an Eagles squad coming off a season in which they gave up the third-most total yards in the NFL.
