Ed Werder assures fans he did not dye his hair blonde
Ed Werder may be just months shy of his 60th birthday, but the ESPN reporter was a few inches of hair away from being a regular Cali surfer on Sunday morning. He can thank the lighting at Jerry World for that.
Those who watched Werder reporting from AT&T Stadium in Dallas may have noticed his hair looked particularly blonde. Some were left wondering if he may have dyed it.

Werder felt the need to address the speculation. He said his new blonde hair was just a product of the lighting in the stadium, not a hair product.
That’s the light in the stadium. Nothing I’ve done. https://t.co/OkOSQpqU1c

To all interested: I’m pleased to still have hair. I don’t color it and never have. I’m not in charge of lighting at the stadium, natural or otherwise. Thank you for the concern.

We’re glad he cleared that up. Werder seems like a confident guy, but a man dying his hair blonde at age 59 takes a level of swag we’re not sure he could pull off.
