Eddie Lacy a healthy scratch for Seahawks game

Eddie Lacy

Eddie Lacy was a healthy scratch for Sunday’s Seattle Seahawks game against the San Francisco 49ers, and his time with the team may be coming to an end.

Lacy was signed in the offseason and had a contract filled with various incentives related to his weight. He was expected to have big role for Seattle this season, but that did not manifest as the preseason went on. Instead, rookie 7th-round draft pick Chris Carson looked good in the preseason and surpasses him on the depth chart.

With Thomas Rawls returning from an ankle injury, plus Carson looking good and C.J. Prosise on the roster, the Seahawks don’t appear to have a need for Lacy. His only hope of sticking with the team might be if one of the other backs get injured.

Lacy had five carries for three yards in his season debut with Seattle last weekend.
