Eli Manning has shed a little light on whether he has been approached by the New York Giants about a potential trade.
The Giants have started the season a disappointing 1-6. They recently traded cornerback Eli Apple to the Saints. There may be more moves on the horizon. However, at least for now, it appears Eli Manning has not been approached about waiving his no-trade clause.
Quarterback Eli Manning says playing for another team is "just not something I'm thinking about." Also disclosed it is not something that has been brought up to him. Manning has a no-trade clause in his contract, which has one year remaining.

This report falls in line with Giants head coach Pat Shurmur believing Manning will remain with the team after the trade deadline.
Instead of selecting a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, New York opted for their running back of the future in Saquon Barkley. While that addressed one need, the elephant in the room is what should be done about Manning. Whatever decision is made, it won’t be an easy one. That could include persuading Manning to help facilitate a move away from New York.
