Eric Ebron takes shot at ‘Patriot way bull’ while recruiting Landon Collins
Landon Collins is about to become one of the best defensive players on the free agent market, and he is already being recruited by many of his peers. Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron has been among the most aggressive in the early going.
Shortly after Collins said farewell to the New York Giants on Twitter Tuesday, Ebron tweeted at him asking if he wants to join the Colts in the playoffs next season.

That prompted a response from Lions defensive back Quandre Diggs, who insists Collins is coming to Detroit. Ebron says that won’t happen, however, because nobody wants to put up with the “Patriot way bull.”
Nobody wanna do that Patriot way bull- #COLTure

The Lions, of course, are coached by former New England Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. There were rumblings early last season that Patricia had already irritated his players with the Bill Belichick-like culture he was trying to create, so that is likely what Ebron was referring to.
Whatever the case, Ebron and Diggs won’t be the only players who want Collins to join them. The three-time Pro Bowler is one of the best safeties in football and will be a difference-maker for any defense.
