Eric Weddle fires back at Ray Lewis over Joe Flacco comments
Joe Flacco is seemingly always a subject of criticism and was so this week by former teammate Ray Lewis. Current teammate Eric Weddle had his back, though.
While on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak For Yourself” on Thursday, Lewis questioned Flacco’s passion for the game. You can see video of Lewis speaking with Jason Whitlock here.
Flacco said he was surprised by the remarks. Former Raven Bart Scott unloaded on Lewis during an appearance on CBS Radio. We can now add Eric Weddle to the list to take a shot at the future Hall of Famer.
The Ravens won the Super Bowl in Lewis’ last season and Weddle took the opportunity to remind us Flacco had a lot to do with it.
Eric Weddle about Lewis comments: "he won you a Super Bowl. Did you forget about that?"

During Baltimore’s four-game run through the postseason in 2012, Flacco completed 58 percent of his passes for 1,140 yards with 11 touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 117.2. He was also named Super Bowl MVP. The following offseason, Flacco signed his massive contract extension, which also caused him to hear it from the critics.
It’s always something for the often stoic Joe Flacco.
