Eric Weddle crushes Warren Sapp over Twitter
Those who have beef with Warren Sapp finally had a good reason to unload on the Hall of Famer this week. Perhaps nobody hammered Sapp as hard as Eric Weddle did, though.
Weddle signed a five-year, $40 million contract extension with the Chargers in 2011 that included $19 million guaranteed. Though Weddle is a three-time Pro Bowler who is recognized as one of the better safeties in the league, Sapp was critical of the extension at the time.
In light of Sapp’s arrest for soliciting and assaulting prostitutes which resulted in him losing his job with NFL Network, Weddle decided to send a zinger that referenced a 2011 tweet Sapp sent that was critical of Weddle’s contract:
Thank you for the motivation the last 4 yrs. E really appreciated it. #whoisinthelineupnow pic.twitter.com/A0nDNMABZi

Ouch. Weddle coming in hot. He probably had that one stored up for years and decided to unload the bomb finally.
He’s not the only one clowning Sapp for the arrest; on Monday it was Jeremy Shockey making fun of Sapp over Twitter.
