Former NFL linebacker Bryan Braman has died following a battle with cancer.
Braman, who played for the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles during his seven-year career, died on Thursday from an aggressive form of cancer. He was 38.
Braman’s agent Sean Stellato said Braman had been seeking treatment for a rare form of cancer after being diagnosed in February. A GoFundMe page that was set up in Braman’s name had raised more than $88,000 as of Thursday morning.
J.J. Watt, who played with Braman in Houston, donated $10,000 to the fundraiser. Watt paid tribute to Braman with a post on social media Friday morning.

Braman had two daughters who are ages 11 and 8, according to Stellato.
Braman signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played for Houston for three seasons before signing with the Eagles in 2014. Braman played for the Eagles from 2014-2016 and then returned in 2017 following a very brief stint with the New Orleans Saints.
The Eagles signed Braman late in the 2017 season. He was part of the Super Bowl LII champion team that defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
