Ezekiel Elliott to meet with Commissioner Roger Goodell over Vegas incident
Ezekiel Elliott is headed back to New York to meet with Commissioner Roger Goodell, according to a report.
ESPN’s Todd Archer reported on Monday that Elliott will meet with Goodell on Tuesday about the Las Vegas incident. Elliott was handcuffed and detained by Las Vegas police after shoving a security guard to the ground at a Las Vegas music festival in May. The security guard initially decided not to press charges on grounds of misdemeanor battery, so the Dallas Cowboys running back was released.
A week later, the security guard apparently was reconsidering pressing charges because he felt that Elliott’s camp had essentially denied anything took place.
Elliott, a two-time NFL rushing leader, has been the subject of multiple off-field incidents, going back to his time in college when he was cited for driving on a suspended license. He was accused of domestic assault shortly after being drafted by the Cowboys and was later suspended six games by the NFL under the personal conduct policy. He was accused in 2017 of breaking a man’s nose during an altercation.
