Falcons, Julio Jones agree on revised contract
The Atlanta Falcons and Julio Jones figured out a way to resolve the receiver’s contract situation.
Atlanta announced on Wednesday evening that Jones will be present when the team’s training camp opens on Thursday.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says the two sides agreed on a revised contract to adjust his salary for the season.
The #Falcons and WR Julio Jones have agreed on a revised contract that adjusts his 2018 salary. He’s showing up, as the team announced. This is a move that’s cap neutral, so it won’t affect other deals getting done.

Jones was set to make $10.5 million for the upcoming season and wanted to be paid more. Both sides worked in good faith to ensure Jones would be in camp on time and not provide a distraction for the season.
