The Deshaun Watson sweepstakes are expected to come to a close in the very near future, and a star player may have prematurely announced the winner on social media.
Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts sent a tweet on Thursday afternoon that led many to believe Watson has made a decision. Pitts quickly deleted it.

Pitts tried to claim the tweet was about something else. He sent a follow-up claiming he was excited that cornerback Casey Hayward has signed a two-year deal with Atlanta.

No one believes that. If Pitts was talking about the Hayward deal, there would have been no need for him to delete the tweet. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo also pointed out that Pitts and Watson share an agent, so it’s conceivable that Pitts would know something the rest of us don’t.
We should have an answer soon enough. Even if the Falcons do have a deal in place for Watson, they could wait to announce it until they work out a trade for Matt Ryan. That would be the respectful move given all Ryan has done for the franchise.
A report on Thursday morning claimed Watson has narrowed his decision down to the Falcons and one other team.
