Falcons RB Devonta Freeman expected to miss 2-3 games
The Atlanta Falcons may be without running back Devonta Freeman for the next few games.
Freeman has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. On Saturday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Freeman is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with his knee contusion.

Freeman appeared to hurt his knee at the end of the Falcons’ Week 1 loss to the Eagles.
The Falcons don’t have a bye until Week 8, so if Freeman is out 2-3 weeks, he would miss 2-3 games. After opening on the road against Philly, Atlanta has three straight home games: against Carolina, New Orleans and then Cincinnati. Tevin Coleman will see an increased role during any time Freeman misses.
