Fans said the same thing about the Cowboys playing on Christmas

The NFL on Wednesday revealed that the Dallas Cowboys will be playing on Christmas, and that left fans saying the same thing.

The league revealed the schedules for all 32 teams, and that gave fans a glimpse of what the holidays will look like in the fall. The Cowboys play on Thanksgiving every year as part of a longstanding tradition. In 2025, they will also be playing on Christmas as they are scheduled to visit the Washington Commanders in the 1:00 pm ET game.

Cowboys fans aren’t exactly thrilled over that detail. Considering the team went 7-10 last season, fans of “America’s Team” aren’t looking forward to seeing the team ruin two otherwise great holidays by losing games both days.

The best thing so far from schedule release day is the Cowboys will ruin both Thanksgiving and Christmas for their fans. The two best holidays completely ruined. A real shame.

NFL hates us Cowboys fans and Jerry Jones🤣 They're punishing us on opening day and Thanksgiving, probably going to make us cry on Christmas as well😂 pic.twitter.com/aDcfRZw5cP

If anyone can relate, it’s Detroit Lions fans. That team has been ruining Thanksgiving for its fans for decades, at least until recently.

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. They are also scheduled to host the Denver Broncos on Christmas, meaning they will be playing games on both holidays, just like the Cowboys. But their fans have a better chance of ending up happy on those days considering KC has posted 10 straight double-digit win seasons and reached the Super Bowl in each of the last three years.

Having your team play in primetime is great when they’re good, but it can be painful if they’re bad. Cowboys fans are not feeling so confident about matters for 2025.
