Fans go after Marcus Williams on Twitter for awful missed tackle
Twitter is never a forgiving place for a professional athlete after a high-profile mistake, and New Orleans Saints safety Marcus Williams was the victim of an angry mob of fans after his horrendous error cost his team a playoff win.
After missing a chance to tackle Minnesota Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs and allowing him to run for a game-winning touchdown, Williams’s Twitter handle was bombarded with angry messages from fans furious over his error.
How much you get paid to miss the easiest tackle of your life?

Some of the comments were pretty ugly and uncalled for. It’s safe to say that nobody feels worse than Williams does right now, but some of the more personal comments are, unfortunately, part of life for a professional athlete, even though they shouldn’t have to be.
