The Cleveland Browns are having an intriguing battle for the starting quarterback gig between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson.
It’s hard to tell who has the clear upper hand so far in the competition, but some fans think that the Browns did not do Sanders any favors when they shared a social video of the former Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback connecting with wide receiver Tylan Wallace in practice.
Here is the video of that play.

Although Sanders connected with Wallace, who made a highlight-reel catch, fans questioned the Browns’ social media team’s choice of clip because it showed the ball wobbling through the air before Wallace hauled it in.
Lmao browns social team knew this gonna get engagement 😂😂😂

Sanders probably would have thrown a much better spiral if he wasn’t under such duress in the pocket. If anything, Wallace gets the major points there, as he managed to catch the ball despite a defender being all over him.
Entering his second year in the NFL, Sanders is determined to win Cleveland’s QB1 role, but Watson can be considered to have a slight edge in the battle, given his experience.
During his rookie season, Sanders threw for 1,400 passing yards and 7 touchdowns against 10 interceptions on just a 56.6% completion rate.
