Cris Carter has not made his regular appearances on FOX Sports 1 for the past week now, and that is because the Hall of Famer is no longer with the network.
FOX Sports issued a statement on Thursday stating that Carter no longer works for the network, though no reason was given.

Carter had reportedly been angry that FOX did not include him in its “Thursday Night Football” pregame coverage, and he recently had a blowup with his bosses. Ryan Glasspiegel of The Big Lead was told by sources that Carter cleaned out his desk at FOX under the supervision of security staffers this week, which makes it sound like the split was not an amicable one.
Carter has become known for some of his controversial takes over the years, and it’s unclear why FOX did not feel he fit in with its “Thursday Night Football” coverage. There was likely more to the breakup than that, though it could have been the final straw.
