Teammates had funny joke about George Kittle while he was injured
George Kittle returned from a two-game absence due to injuries and put up a monster game for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. While he was out, his teammates zinged him with a funny joke.
There were so many shots from the TV crews covering the last few 49ers games of Kittle watching from a booth, his teammates began calling him Jerry Jones. That’s a nod to how often the Cowboys owner is shown from his box during Dallas’ games.
Kittle was out with knee and ankle injuries and somehow has already returned after missing just two games. He is playing with a bone chip in his ankle and had a popped capsule in his knee.
Kittle still caught all six of his targets for 129 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers’ easy win over the Packers. Kittle has now scored in two straight games.
