George Kittle reveals major career shift planned after he retires from NFL

San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle has it all mapped out.

The All-Pro tight end does not plan on retiring from the NFL anytime soon. But the 31-year-old already has his next career move in mind for when he does.

Kittle appeared on a recent episode of the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast and shared that he intends to play football “until I don’t have fun anymore” or once his wife implores him to do so. When asked about his plans after football, Kittle had three letters in mind: WWE.

“I would love to do WWE,” Kittle said, via Pro Football Talk’s Charean Williams. “I think there’s definitely opportunity within that world, and I would love nothing more than to be a part of it.

“My only question mark with that is I so much love being a fan of WWE. I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my a– off for a long time, so I wouldn’t look like an idiot out there. I’ve been in a WWE ring like three times. I don’t know what I’m doing out there. I have an understanding of how it works, but I haven’t moonsaulted off the top rope at WrestleMania like Pat McAfee did.”

Kittle has long been a fan of the sports entertainment brand. He’s made a few appearances in the WWE ring in the past, including a legitimate spot during WrestleMania 39.

Kittle’s football-trained work ethic and larger-than-life personality make him a potential star in the WWE ring should he swap out football pads for wrestling tights.

Given the WWE’s willingness to have athletes cross over from different sports, Triple H will surely keep his line open for Kittle once the latter hangs up his cleats.
