Report: Giants will suspend Odell Beckham Jr. if there is another outburst
The New York Giants are ready to come down hard on Odell Beckham Jr. if he continues to cause problems.
According to Thomas George of SB Nation, two Giants coaches have said that Beckham will be benched if he has another meltdown against Green Bay on Sunday night. If the outburst is sufficiently severe, he may even face a one or two game suspension imposed by the team.
Giants coaches expect the message to get through, though George notes that they felt that the worst was over after his outburst against the Carolina Panthers last season as well.
It sounds like the Giants are prepared to take the approach recommended by one former coach turned analyst. Beckham is supremely talented, and the Giants will probably do anything they can to try to get him under control. It sounds like they’re running out of ideas.
