Giovani Bernard has been one of the more underrated players in the NFL for the past several seasons, but his efforts have clearly been noticed by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Bernard and the Bengals have agreed to a two-year, $10 million contract extension ahead of the start of the regular season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Bernard, the 37th overall pick in the 2013 draft, plays a significant role in both the running and passing game for the Bengals. He has also been a valuable commodity any time a starting rusher goes down, which has happened quite a bit in Cincinnati in recent years. The 27-year-old has averaged 4.2 yards per carry and 8.6 yards per reception for his career.
