Greg Olsen suffered broken foot in Week 2

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen left Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills with a foot injury, and it turns out it was a severe one.
Following Carolina’s 9-3 win, Olsen confirmed he suffered a broken foot. He appeared to get emotional while breaking the news to reporters.

Olsen added that he is going to miss “a lot of games,” so it’s unclear if he will return at any point in 2017. At minumum, the Panthers will probably put him on injured reserve, which would rule him out for at least eight weeks.
Olsen has been Cam Newton’s favorite target over the past several seasons, which is why he was seeking a new contract during the offseason. The 32-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal with the team.
