Greg Olsen leaves Week 1 game with foot injury
Greg Olsen battled foot injuries throughout the 2017 season, and his 2018 campaign got off to the same start on Sunday.
Olsen left the Carolina Panthers’ game against the Dallas Cowboys in the first half with a foot injury.

While the extent of the latest injury is unknown, any foot ailment for Olsen is a major concern. He underwent surgery last season after breaking his foot in Week 2 and was able to return later in the year, but the stress fracture — also called a Jones fracture — that he suffered is one that carries a significant risk of re-injury.
The Panthers were convinced Olsen was healthy during the offseason, as evidenced by the new contract they gave him. Olsen, 33, has been Cam Newton’s favorite target over the past several years when healthy.
