Houston restaurant takes shot at Matt Schaub over pick sixes
It’s safe to say that Matt Schaub is the new Tony Romo.
The Houston Texans quarterback has thrown six interceptions through four games this season, including a pick-six in three straight games. Two of the interceptions returned for touchdowns came in the fourth quarter (first against Tennessee and then a horrible one late against Seattle). Both pick-sixes resulted in the games going to overtime, where the Texans went 1-1.
As a result of the costly turnovers, Texans fans have bailed on Schaub. Some fans lit his jersey on fire last weekend, while one Houston-area restaurant is taking a shot at him.
A restaurant (that appears to be called Skeeters Grill) is offering a “Matt Schaub Special” that allows customers to “pick six” toppings for their burger and “pay for it dearly.”
Ouch.
Schaub already deactivated his Twitter account this week. Now it looks like he’ll have to stop eating out, too.
