Jaguars fire offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett

The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost seven games in a row after starting out 3-1 this season, and they made what could be just the first of several significant changes on Monday.

The Jags announced they have fired offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

Hackett had been the offensive coordinator in Jacksonville since 2016. He served as the team’s quarterbacks coach for a season prior to that. The Jaguars have scored 18 or less points in five of their last seven games and rank 28th in the NFL with 17.9 points per game, so it’s no surprise that Hackett is the first member of the coaching staff to lose his job.

The Jaguars have been in a complete tailspin over the past two months, and the lowlight of their season may have come with the way they were trolled by the Buffalo Bills following Sunday’s loss. Reports have indicated that head coach Doug Marrone’s job is safe, but other members of the coaching staff are officially on notice.
