Jake Paul is already looking ahead to life after boxing and believes an NFL career could be next.
In a recent interview with Front Office Sports at Fanatics Fest, the 29-year-old boxer and social media personality said he has spoken with a couple of teams and coaches who expressed interest in adding him to their roster.
Paul, who last fought in December 2025 and owns a 12-2 professional record, described the potential transition as straightforward.
“I have a couple of teams and coaches that I’ve already talked to that are interested in bringing me onto the team. It’s really going to be quite easy,” Paul said. “Really all it’s going to take is me after boxing practicing some routes.”
Paul did not hold back in assessing current NFL talent. He claimed there is “a lot of super mediocrity” in the league, adding that many players regularly drop passes. He insisted he possesses better hands, speed, strength and work ethic than those athletes.
The Cleveland Browns stand out as his clear preference. A lifelong fan who grew up in the Cleveland area, Paul said his mother is a diehard supporter of the franchise and noted the team could use additional help at receiver. He previously indicated interest in playing slot receiver.
Paul has not competed in organized football since his high school days at Westlake High School in Ohio.
While the comments have drawn attention and some criticism for dismissing the difficulty of reaching the NFL, no teams have publicly confirmed any interest in signing him.
