The Philadelphia Eagles got to join Donald Trump at the White House on Monday to be honored for winning the Super Bowl in February. Some prominent members of the team did not make the trip, including Jalen Hurts.

Hurts was among a group of around one dozen players who were part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team but did not join the team at the White House. A handful of those players have since switched teams and no longer play for Philadelphia.

Hurts was said to have missed the visit due to scheduling conflicts.

A White House official confirms to me that @Eagles quarterback @JalenHurts will not be visiting the White House when the Super Bowl champions come later this afternoon. The White House says Hurts and other players who can’t attend had “scheduling conflicts.”

A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are among the Eagles’ top skill players who likewise avoided the visit.

Hurts had previously been asked whether he would be making the trip but gave a sly grin and declined to answer the question.

Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley made the trip. He also spent some time golfing with President Trump prior to Monday’s visit and defended himself after receiving backlash from fans.

Hurts passed for 2,903 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. He also rushed for 630 yards and 14 TDs.
