Jalen Ramsey unlikely to play in Week 4 as he continues to seek trade?
Jalen Ramsey is expected to return to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday after missing the early part of the practice week with an illness, but it sounds like far from a guarantee that he will play in Week 4.
Ramsey called the Jaguars earlier in the week to inform them he was feeling under the weather and could not show up to work. Multiple reports indicate he will be at the team facility on Wednesday, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter says it would be an “upset” if Ramsey played Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
It still will be an upset if Jalen Ramsey plays Sunday at Denver…..this isn’t being solved anytime soon. https://t.co/7avgyBo1If

Schefter’s tweet implies that Ramsey may not play because he still wants to be traded, not because of his health. However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media notes that Ramsey has been receiving treatment for some minor injuries.
As the practice week ramps up in Jacksonville, #Jaguars Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey is expected to be at the facility today, source said. However, he’s a little banged up, as he’s been receiving treatment for issues related to his lower back and hamstrings.

Ramsey asked the Jaguars to trade him last week a day after he got into a heated sideline confrontation with head coach Doug Marrone. However, his issues are said to be more with Tom Coughlin and Jacksonville’s front office than Marrone, though team owner Shad Khan is willing to make Ramsey the highest-paid cornerback in football and does not want to trade him.
While at least one team has reportedly made a significant trade offer for Ramsey, the Jaguars have been hesitant to trade him. He’s an All-Pro defensive back who still has another year remaining on his contract after 2019, so he doesn’t have much leverage. Perhaps Ramsey feels he can force the team’s hand by not practicing and/or playing.
