Jamal Adams says he is ‘past’ trade drama with Jets
New York Jets safety Jamal Adams is clarifying his stance with the New York Jets.
Adams did not hide his displeasure when it became clear that the Jets engaged in trade talks about him before Tuesday’s deadline. Adams made clear that his major sticking point was that he’d been told he would not be moved days before the Jets discussed doing just that. He did, however, clarify that he was moving past the issue and ready to play.
Not saying I’m the greatest ever. But you shouldn’t tell a guy you are the cornerstone of the team on Friday, that you won’t be moved, and then negotiate terms with other teams 3 days later…
But look, I’m at peace with everything! It’s all Luv! https://t.co/uUrZ6lzMAi— Jamal Adams (@TheAdamsEra) October 30, 2019
Locked in! My focus is on this team and the Dolphins game Sunday. I’m past everything. Looking forward to taking the field and competing.

Adams has a job to do and he’s going to do it. He may be over it, but as of Wednesday, he still wasn’t interested in speaking to GM Joe Douglas about what happened. Fundamentally, it may be that he’s ready to play, but not ready to forgive.
