Jameis Winston reflects on ‘humbling’ benching
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was benched on Sunday after throwing four interceptions against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Winston had returned to the starting lineup with much fanfare earlier in the season, but after 10 interceptions in four games, the Buccaneers had no choice but to bench him and return to Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick nearly led Tampa Bay all the way back and actually tied the game before the Bengals converted on a last-second field goal.
After the game, Winston called the experience “humbling” and admitted he had no one to blame but himself.
#Bucs Jameis Winston: It was very humbling. It's my fault we were in that position. Fitz came in and fought his tail off.

Coach Dirk Koetter said no decision had been made on who would start at quarterback for Tampa Bay next week at Carolina. Given how bad Winston was and how Fitzpatrick nearly led them all the way back, it seems more likely than not that Winston will be back on the bench.
