Jason Pierre-Paul reportedly injured his hand in a fireworks mishap on the 4th of July, and it appears the New York Giants defensive end may have begun his evening with a van full of explosives.
Before the alleged incident took place, Pierre-Paul shared a video on Instagram that showed him all excited next to a U-Haul van:
Andy Slater of WINZ 940-AM in Miami — one of the first people to break the news of Pierre-Paul’s injury — tweeted the photo you see above. It supposedly came from a woman who claims she is Pierre-Paul’s neighbor and was lighting fireworks with him at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

The woman has since deactivated her Twitter account.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Pierre-Paul was still meeting with doctors on Sunday evening to determine the severity of the injury. Schefter also noted that the injury is not believed to be career-threatening.
