Jason Pierre-Paul says he will not be celebrating 4th of July
Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul nearly cost himself his hand in a fireworks incident last 4th of July, and he seems intent on ensuring that he doesn’t have to deal with anything like that again.
Pierre-Paul told Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News that he’ll be far away from any 4th of July celebrations in 2016 – very far, in fact.
Jason Pierre-Paul on his 4th of July plans: "I won't even be in the United States. Where I'm going, they don't celebrate 4th of July."

Probably for the best. Pierre-Paul probably isn’t that tempted to play with fireworks after last year’s incident, but why not get as far away from them as possible? No temptation, no rekindling bad memories. Seems like a reasonable move.
