Jermichael Finley killed fantasy owners last season. Finley was one of “those” tight ends heading into the season. You know, the one who exploded onto the scene at the end of the previous year and everyone knew they wanted him early but had to decide how early was too early? Many projected Finley to be the top fantasy tight end and it was no secret that he had become Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target. Then in week 5, Jermichael suffered a knee injury that cost him the rest of the year.
Finley is a player to keep an eye on headed into the upcoming season as he looks to bounce back and regain his pre-injury form. If the two-pass at once drill in training camp is any indication, the Packers tight end is determined to get back on track in 2011. I’m sure it’s been done before, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. As for fantasy, expect Finley to reemerge as a top-3 tight end option this season as Rodgers will likely be better than ever.
