Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has issued a statement on the release of wide receiver Dez Bryant.
In a diplomatic statement, Jones thanked Bryant for his contributions to the organization and said that the two share a unique and special relationship. Jones added that releasing Bryant “was not an easy decision,” but the front office as a whole felt that it was in the best interests of the franchise to move on.

Jones is certainly saying all the right things, but Bryant himself has hinted at the fact that he may not be fully happy with these developments.
