Jerry Jones admits he has thought about signing Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant is interested in a return to the Dallas Cowboys, and Jerry Jones is thinking about adding his former wide receiver.

The Cowboys owner said at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis on Thursday that though he hasn’t talked to Bryant, he has been thinking about signing the receiver.

Bryant, 31, was drafted in the first round by the Cowboys in 2010. Bryant had some “character issues” entering the NFL and slipped in the draft, but Dallas took a chance on him and was rewarded when he developed into a top receiver.

Bryant was released by Dallas during the 2018 offseason, eventually signed with New Orleans, and tore his Achilles tendon in his first practice with his new team. Bryant has not played in an NFL game since 2017 but has shown interest in a return to Dallas.

Why would Bryant be interested in a return to the Cowboys now? He has long had something against Jason Garrett, who was finally let go by the team as head coach.
