Jerry Jones: Tony Romo will only play if Dak Prescott cannot
It’s going to take more than a few poor performances to dislodge Dak Prescott as the quarterback in Dallas.
According to owner Jerry Jones, the only way Tony Romo will see the field ahead of Prescott is if the rookie is simply physically unable to play.
Jerry asked if Dak's ineffectiveness would be factor in going back to Romo: "No, no, no. Not at all." Said it'd take Dak not being available

Interestingly, this is the boldest vote of confidence yet in Prescott. Sure, he won the job, but there was some thinking that the Cowboys could go back to Romo if Prescott struggled. Jones appears to be ruling that out here.
Also, Jones and coach Jason Garrett are on the same page here. The Cowboys are steadfastly standing by Prescott after his first really poor game under center, and they have no reason not to.
