Jets place key player on injured reserve
The New York Jets are hoping to sort out their offensive issues in Week 9, but they will have to do so without one of their more reliable wide receivers.
Allen Lazard has been placed on injured reserve with a chest injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. That will keep the veteran out for at least four games.

Lazard missed last week’s game against the New England Patriots, which the Jets lost 25-22.
Lazard has been better than expected this season with 30 catches for 412 yards. He has also been a reliable red-zone target for Aaron Rodgers and has 5 touchdowns in seven games.
The Jets still have solid starting wide receivers with Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson. But Lazard and Rodgers have a great connection that dates back to when they were teammates with the Green Bay Packers, so the 28-year-old will be missed.
Now that Lazard is out for at least four games, the Jets are less likely to trade one veteran player who had drawn interest from multiple teams.
