Jets player shared savage social media post after Robert Saleh firing
At least one New York Jets player seems to be happy about the firing of Robert Saleh.
The Jets on Tuesday surprisingly announced that they have fired Saleh just five games into the season. The Jets are 2-3 following a loss to the Vikings in London.
Mekhi Becton, who was the No. 11 overall pick by the Jets in 2020, shared a meme on social media in response to the news. Becton shared the meme showing a man who went to the funeral of one of his biggest haters.
“I stopped by my biggest haters funeral today, just to make sure he was dead,” the meme says.
Becton shared that image on X before deleting it.

That meme — and post from Becton — is the epitome of schadenfreude. Yes, he seemed to be giddy about Saleh getting the ax.
Saleh had gone 20-36 in his three-plus seasons as the Jets’ head coach. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will now serve as the Jets’ interim head coach.
