Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh made a decision Monday that Denver Broncos fans will be very pleased with.
Harbaugh revealed Monday that starting quarterback Justin Herbert will not play against the Broncos in Week 18. Other starters will rest too, though Harbaugh did not divulge which ones.
Jim Harbaugh said QB Justin Herbert won’t play Sunday against the Broncos.

Said other starters with “the most bruises” and need “the most healing” won’t play.
Trey Lance will start at quarterback for the Chargers instead.
The Chargers’ playoff seeding is still to be determined, but they have clinched a spot and cannot move any higher than fifth. As such, they will be going on the road for the Wild Card round no matter what. With Herbert already banged up, Harbaugh has little incentive to risk him in a game that has minimal upside for his team.
The Broncos will host an under-strength Chargers team on Sunday. If they win, they will clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a first-round bye. Harbaugh’s decision on Monday should make that a lot easier for them.
The Chargers are likely headed for the No. 7 seed unless they find a way to upset the Broncos. If they lose, they would need the lowly New York Jets to defeat the Buffalo Bills to bump them up to No. 6.
