Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has not played in the preseason due to a back injury, but it sounds as though he is on track to be ready for Week 1.
On Wednesday, Ravens coach John Harbaugh announced that Flacco has resumed throwing and is close to making a return to practice.

Flacco injured his back in late-July, and the initial timetable for his recovery was three to six weeks. If he returns to practice this week or next week, that would put him right on schedule.
It’s always a concern when a quarterback misses time, but the situation with Flacco is not the same as the one the Indianapolis Colts have with Andrew Luck. Harbaugh has already made a very strong guarantee about Flacco being ready for Week 1, so we can only take his word for it.
