Joe Thomas is not the first former NFL offensive lineman to lose weight in retirement, but the shape the Cleveland Browns legend has gotten into over the past year is nothing shy of remarkable.
Like many other former NFL players, Thomas was able to shed some pounds since he no longer had to load up on calories to maintain his playing weight. But the 10-time Pro Bowler did more than just slim down — he looks like he’s ready for a bodybuilding competition.

Thomas shared some of his secrets:
Facts: I think the first 25 fell off in a month, than I had to kick my butt to keep going. Swimming is the best from a cardio standpoint, and #keto w/ intermittent fasting is gold. I can eat 1500-2000 cals/day and feel full. https://t.co/HToJA3VVat

If you remember, Thomas cracked some jokes last year about the comeback inquiries he had received immediately after he called it a career. Don’t be surprised if he gets more calls from NFL teams this offseason that are interested in him as a tight end.
