Johnny Manziel reacts to NFL comeback speculation
No matter how much some may dream of it happening, Johnny Manziel will not be trying for an NFL return anytime soon — or ever.
A fan took note of a recent picture of Manziel wearing a Miami Dolphins hat and asked if it was a signal of a possible comeback. The former Heisman Trophy winner shot that down quickly, saying he was a big fan of Tua Tagovailoa and coach Mike McDaniel, but that his time in the NFL “came and went.”
Absolutely not, my time for football has came and went. I just love Tua and Mike McDaniel so I’m always going to show support. Im a fan of people in the sport of football, not teams… https://t.co/N5O6T26Qph

Frankly, Manziel probably would not get another shot in the NFL even if he wanted one. Now 31, he was last seen in the Fan Controlled Football league, though he appears to be finished with that for now. He has previously said he would like to remain around the sport in the future, but it may be that will not be as a player.
For now, Manziel appears content to keep an eye on the NFL from afar, even as some of his so-called records fall.
