Johnny Manziel is very serious about getting back into the NFL, if a new report is to be believed.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday that Manziel has been in touch with several NFL teams about getting back into the league.
Sources close to Manziel told Garafolo that the quarterback is so serious about reviving his NFL career that he would be willing to take a minimum salary with no guaranteed money and play on a practice squad in order to convince teams that he has changed his behavior and can be trusted to positively contribute.
After I’m done plugging @ThomaHawkNFD, I talk Johnny Manziel and how teams have been told he’s willing to take $0 guaranteed and even spend time on a practice squad to prove himself in the NFL again. pic.twitter.com/thWDWhzPd6

Manziel’s first task will be to show teams that his talent hasn’t eroded, but if that goes well, it sounds like he’ll do just about anything to get himself back on a roster. That includes playing for almost nothing — and even running a scout team.
